Roman Blinds
Transform your windows with the timeless charm and sophistication of Roman blinds. Known for their distinct, soft fabric folds when raised, these blinds offer a look of luxurious elegance that seamlessly complements both modern and traditional interiors.

More than just beautiful, Roman blinds offer exceptional light control and insulation. Choose from a vast array of fabrics, including blackout options for bedrooms, light-filtering sheers for living areas, and rich textures to add depth and warmth to any room.
Timeless Fabrics
Glentec offer a choice of fabrics from fabric houses such as Prestigious Textiles and ILIV Interior Textiles. As well as this, we're able to use your own fabric to make up with.

Our roman blinds are made with quality linings with standard, blackout and interlining available. The standard lining is perfect for protecting the fabric and ensure a smart, uniform look from outside. Blackout is perfect for blocking out unwanted light and helps with thermal properties, (special thermal linings are also available). Interlining is a great choice to bulk out your blind, giving it a much more luxurious look and feel.

All blinds are hand-sewn and headrails manufactured in Britain.

Headrail Options

We offer two types of motorised roman headrail, Classic and Large. Both offer battery and hardwired options, whilst differing on the weights available for larger blinds.

The Classic Headrail is perfect for blinds up to 3m in width with options for a 1:1 or 1:4 geared mechanisms - the difference being that 1:1 has a lifting capacity of 3 kg whereas the 1:4 allows much heavier blinds, lifting up to 8 kg. The motors for this headrail can also lift up to 8 kg.

The Large Headrail is only available as motorised and can take blinds up to 3.5m in width. With the battery motor able to lift over 13 kg and the mains motor lifting 26 kg, this system is perfect for larger blinds or where home automation is required.
Motorisation
Both types of roman blind headrail can be motorised with either battery or hardwired motors.

The Classic Headrail comes with an external battery that can either be fitted under the track or behind the headrail if fitting in a recess. Either way, this will be hidden by the fabric. We can also wire the motor directly into a fuse spur, negating the need for charging the battery every 6-8 months.

The Large Headrail fits a bigger motor and allows for much larger blinds. Subject to the motor used, this headrail can lift blinds of up to 15kg. One difference with the large headrail is the ability to use motors with wired and dry contact motors, perfect for home automation integration.
